Aura operates in two complimentary areas of the metal and non-ferrous business – international trade and UK foundry ingot.
End-user industries are diverse - from electronics, automotive, onshore and offshore, construction and plumbing to art and sculpture.
Built up over the past twenty years, Aura has long-term relationships with our suppliers from around the world. This gives the company continual quality supply as well as market and pricing information. This enables us to offer our customers from across the globe, competitive prices, while managing shipping, finance, hedging and insurance.
Our Story
Aura, founded by the Cohen family in 2002, was conceived after the closure of the worlds oldest ingot manufacturers: A. Cohen.
Founded in 1799, A. Cohen produced from factories around the world with sites in Argentina, Australia, Belgium, Canada, India, South Africa, Spain, Zimbabwe and the United Kingdom.
As a group, they produced copper and aluminium alloy ingots, and master alloys ranging from phosphor copper to titanium boron aluminium, aluminium powder, stainless steel and plastic, including many other products.
